Hi! Ratto can be found in a secret area. You can buy the Merchant's map pieces to find all the secrets. Also, he holds a Gaia Stone too! So that might help you find him.
This enemy, the flying mosquito, is exclusive to supporters' builds
This was a fun little demo! Definitely a good start. :3 Most of any praise I could share has already been stated by others.
The main thing I'd like to mention is that the camera movement felt just a little too aggressive, throughout - worse in some areas than others. While the game's movement felt smooth for the most part, the camera movement was already giving me a headache/nausea/motion-sickness, just several minutes into it. TuT The demo was just short enough that I could complete it before it could really start to make me feel sick, but a longer session in the full game definitely would.
I wasn't playing it full screen - just windowed, about two-thirds of my screen. A smaller window or even more distance from the display (i.e. playing on a TV from a couch) might have helped even more. Regardless, while jumping around and moving left and right, sometimes the camera just flies all over the place, trying too hard to keep "ahead" and give a better view.
I am certainly one of those folks a little more susceptible to motion sickness from games, etc., if there's the possibility of it. But, even for folks less susceptible to that effect, the camera movement could still be described as a bit "janky" in the way that it can throw off player movement. There were several times that I went to make a jump and the camera started moving rapidly along with me, throwing off my judgement for the landing.
I saw that there were keybinds for zooming the camera, but it did not seem to want to zoom out any further, for me. One easy fix for the current style of camera movement would be to allow for zooming out just a bit further, so there's less need to rapidly/aggressively adjust when the player moves or changes direction (while still offering as much look-ahead). Or, there could be a slider in the options for camera-movement smoothness.
Hoping the best for the project, I wish y'all luck! :3
Thank you so much for your feedback! We really appreciate it. Actually, we're currently adressing some of those issues. We did a big rework in our camera system and plan to release an update soon. We'll take in consideration your feedback and see how else we can give the player a better control of the game in general to best fit their needs. Please look forward to our future updates :))
This is a fantastic start, smooth movement, pleasing animations, and platforms are challenging while also being fun to get to. I spent a good thirty minutes figuring out ways to get to platforms without using the way that was given. Love the idea, keep it up your work is fantastic and really fun!
Oh, it's probably something I didn't think of doing or find. The character is Gerbera! I'm so dumb I didn't scroll up to find her name. Pretty great game so far!
Would it be possible to add a toggle for controller vibration in a future update? My computer has a weird bug where any controller vibration disables the USB ports until I restart it, which is kind of annoying :/ (I can only assume that it's occurring, since, y'know, I went into a scene and my USB ports got disabled)
Great bones, want to see more! Would love to see aspects of the first level expanded upon... e.g. more Rat racing (maybe a new intresting race per level). New enemy types, Bosses with increasingly diverse movesets, etc! You've recreated what was great about old games in a unique and fun way, be proud!
Thank you so much! It warms our hearts to get messages like this. We are expanding! Ratto has a family and you'll be able to find the five of them in different stages. Please keep looking forward to our next updates! Cheers!

How do I unlock the Ratto? And I saw someone comment this screenshot, showing a bug guy. Do they have lewd animations, and how do I find them?

Thanks for the response! So I just gotta search for all the Gaia stones and I'll eventually get him...
Yep! you're bound to find him that way. Another hint I can give you, the entrance to his cave is between checkpoint 1 and 2
Was definitely worth the search!
Hurray! Ratto is one of our most loved characters. With good reason :))

Thank you so much for your comment! It really gives us a boost to continue making an excellent game! Please look forward for future updates :))
Played about an hour and got pretty much everything available (still a "?" over the special animation for the assist character).
Great animations and fluid gameplay. Works fine with my DualShock! Hope to see progress soon!
Hey! Can you provide a screenshot so I can see which character you mean?
Oh, it's probably something I didn't think of doing or find. The character is Gerbera! I'm so dumb I didn't scroll up to find her name. Pretty great game so far!
It's probably the special then. You can press TAB to change the special you're using. The second special is a lewd animation that heals the character.
See, I figured I was just missing something like a dummy! Thanks for your reply!
No problem!
soo.. when I put the game on fullscreen it just gives me a black screen and stops responding (using version 0.16.2)
and now my game always launches as fullscreen soo I can't play
Try pressing F11 after opening the game. If that doesn't work please let us know
it worked, thx
Love the visuals!

Oh! That's unusual! Yeah, we'll work on that. Thanks for pointing it out for us.
Greatly appreciate it! Looking forward to future updates!

That sounds great, thanks for the little teaser, about his family too lol.
